Clutch Performance
What is it? And how does it relate to calisthenics?
Join us for a one-hour seminar online where we will lead you through the concept of clutch performance and how a better understanding of the concept can lead athletes to deliver their optimal performances during competition.
Clutch relates to delivering or achieving self-referenced goals under pressure circumstances. Currently there is a misconception around what a clutch performance is ( with an assumption being that a clutch performance is based on a subjective outcome ). However, new research suggests that the concept is a lot more nuanced and has more subjective components. A clutch state is regarded as an optimum performance state, similar to flow, and therefore there are processes and factors that can help an athlete to enter a clutch state, leading to a clutch performance.
In this seminar, we will look at the factors, processes and indicators of clutch performance for calisthenics athletes, and give you ideas to take with you whether you are an athlete or coach that can be implemented within your training to help you deliver a peak performance.
